Does amway salmon omega 3 table reduces his cholesterol level

Q) My husband age is 38. His LDL ( Low density lipo protein) level is 190 mg/dl. Can i give him amway salmon omega 3 table to reduce his cholesterol level.

A) I would like to say that Omega 3 fatty acid in salmon omega 3 table are poly unsaturated fatty acids which are beneficial in many ways in our body. However, taking supplement in the tablet form is necessary for your husband or not, and if yes, how much to be taken should all be consulted with a physician and it is not sufficient to know the level of HDL in the body to advise salmon omega 3 table supplement.

There are other parameters to be taken into consideration.
There are foods rich in omega 3 fatty acid such as fish oil, flaxseed oil, dark green leafy vegetable, milk and cheese (from cow fed on green grass) and should be taken in regular diet. These will improve overall diet and fulfill the requirements better. In case specific supplement is taken one should consult a physician.
