Q) I go for urination for six to seven times at night. May i know what could be the reason. Is it the sign of diabetes?
A) For how long you have this problem? Do you have such problem in the day time as well? Is there any other associated feature like burning or pain during passing urine or blood in urine?
There may be many reasons for this. In old people it may be an early symptom of prostate enlargement. In that case it may progress and may increase with time and need attention to treat enlarged prostate.
Frequent urination may also be a feature of diabetes. In that case you may also feel frequent thrust and hunger. The urine in case of diabetes contain sugar in it and it is a serious condition and need immediate attention.
Another important condition is infection in the urinary tract.
I would suggest you to get yourself examined by a physician and get the investigations done. It may not be a serious condition but it may also be a feature of some underlying condition.
Tension, anxiety are other reasons for it..
