Q) May i know what are the different types of weight-loss programs

A) The different types of weight-loss programs available are:

  • Do-it-yourself programs:- An effort to lose weight by oneself or with a group of like-minded people through support groups, worksite or community-based programs
  • Non-clinical programs: These programs use counselors (who usually are not trained) to provide services. Some programs require participants to use the food or supplements of the programs.
  • Clinical programs: This program is handled by licensed health professionals, such as physicians, nurses, dietitians, and psychologists. Clinical programs may offer services like,                         
  1. nutrition education,
  2. medical care,
  3. behavior change therapy and
