Uses of this medication:
Promethazine is anti histamine drug. It is used in the treatment of allergic conditions like runny nose, itchy eyes, and sneezing, skin rashes.
It is also used in the treatment of nausea and vomiting and motion sickness.
It acts by blocking the effects of histamine.
How to use this medication:
Take this medication with glass full of water with or without food.
What you need to discuss with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication.
Always remember to inform your health expert if you are taking any prescription or OTC medication.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have heart disease, liver disease or convulsions.
For pregnancy it comes under category C. If you are pregnant or breast feeding do not use this medication with out consulting the doctor.

CNS depression, dryness of the mouth, retention of urine, constipation, headache, vision problems.
Dosage and Missed Dose:
Dosage:
For allergy conditions: 25 mg daily at night or 50mg at night or 25mg two times daily. or
Use as directed by your physician, your physician prescribes depending on the severity of disease.
Use the complete course of medication as prescribed by your physician even though you feel better after one or two days of usage of medication.
Missed dose: If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not take two doses at same time to cover up the missed dose
Storage
This product should be stored at room temperature between (15-30 degrees C). Store it in a place where it won’t be exposed to excessive heat, moisture or direct sunlight never store in bathroom. Keep it out of reach of children. Make sure that any leftover portion is disposed of safely.
General information
Promethazine should not be used in children in less than 2 years old. It cause severe breathing problems or death in children less than less than 2 years old. Avoid drinking alcohol and doing skilled job like driving or operating machine while taking the machine.
